As far as I am aware its the law in Italy for children (under 14s I believe)to wear helmets, not sure of other countries?

You can also get silk liners (for feet and hands)which are supposed to help keep you exrta warm on the coldest of days.

Seriously, hope you have a great time, Tignes is currently getting a good dusting of snow, skiing is down to Val Claret and possibly further, try and get over to Val D'isere if you can and enjoy!
