A lot of the local children head off to the nearest golf course with their sledges when we get snow round here. The ones without sledges take huge plastic sheets and slide down the hills with 10 plus people on them.
Almost as good as a piste basher   |

I have to agree with that. The general standard of driving when we get a bit of snow is appalling. Add that to the complete lack of winter preperation most people and councils seem to make, and we have instant disaster  It took me over three hours to travel the almost three miles home from work yesterday  I must have passed at least six accidents and seen numerous stranded 4x4's, and all the while people were hooting me for leaving a 20 foot gap between myself and the car in front when stationary. That soon stopped when the car behind me suddenly started sliding forward after being stopped for over 5 minutes. The driver was quite shocked that something like that could happen, but also rather thankfull that I had enough room to get out of his way. Funny how he started leaving bigger gaps after that  |

Sorry to jump into the thread Brian, but I just want to say welcome to J2Ski, and what an inspiration you probably are to many people :P
I only hope I am still as adventurous as you when (if!) I make 67. Hope you have a great trip. |

At a guess gents, I would assume that Elan possibly make or get made "promotional" clothing, which would be worn at certain events, shows or by sales people.
I am guessing that Elanboy385 is perhaps looking to try and obtain some of that. |

Hello dex, welcome
I see from one of your pics, you have been to Soldeu. When was that, it looked pretty cold? I'm off there for the first time at the end of Jan. |

When in January are you actually going? Surrey can be a funny place, and if you get the day wrong, it is very possible you will not get any snow. Mind you, if you get it right and do get the snow, then the chances are, all the transport links will be closed due to the weather so I doubt you will get any skiing in anyway  |
