Have a good time. Please find out from the locals if the snow is going to be good this Christmas as I'm anxious to get things booked!

On that occasion we were staying in Grasmere (a fantastic house called Little Parrock) but we did our open canoe tour & BBQ on Derwent Water & climbed nearby on Shepherd's Crag. I'm a huge fan of the Lake Distrit & used to go walking there regularly - generally staying in the Langdale area. Nowadays we always head to the North Norfolk coast where we go sailing but I will have to try & organise a few days back up there again - I miss it! |

tino_11, I went on a hen weekend a couple of years ago & we spent a day doing a variety of activities, including climbing & abseiling, with www.distant-horizons.co.uk in the Lake District & had a brilliant time. Not sure if that's the sort of thing you're looking for but I'd happily recommend them.
Have fun :) |

Rossyhead - try mending them with 'Stormseal Repair Adhesive'. It's amazing stuff & we've used to great effect on outdoor clothing, tents, sails, leather furniture etc. It' about £5.00 per tube from outdoor/camping shops & is like a clear mastic. You can do a really neat job with it if you bring the ripped surfaces together on the good side & tape them in place. Apply the Stormseal on the reverse side & leave to dry. Remove the tape & you should have an almost invisible mend which will be really strong. We always keep some with us as it can be used for so many things. |
