I wouldn't go after 30th Jan as this gets into the main holiday period. So more expensive and resorts get very busy.
You could delay until early March if you felt like it. Warmer and more chance of sunny days.
If it were me I would choose a hotel you like the look off, in a resort you fancy and go from there.
Main thing for me being the actual location of the Club Med Hotel in the chosen resort. Some are a bit remote from the resort and even lifts (Val D'Isere for example - can be tricky to get back to for less confident skiers, Tignes much more straight forward)
Where do you arrive in Europe?
Which airport you come to would make a difference.
I have been to the Club Med in Tignes (next to Val D'Isere) and in Serre Chevalier.
One thing to consider is resort connectivity and accessibility with the Club Med format of returning to the Hotel for lunch.

Avoriaz is closest to Geneva and could work well.
Les Arcs (with two Club Meds in Arc 2000 and Peisey nancroix) may be worth considering.

Club Med in Tignes is better placed for the rest of the town for night life than Val D'Isere - if you want to leave the hotel and free beer!

If you plan to take advantage of the ski lessons for either mornings or all day then the hotel position becomes even more important.
Back to reality.......

24 booked so far to Alpe D'Huez. Links and details on front page of this thread.

We have space at the moment for a single female to share a twin room.
Also a Twin is available.

There are also at least one Family room (4) and possibly a triple.

Who wants to join this exclusive ski group????
You should enjoy the extra Beer money in ADH then - instead of 248E last season a senior (+72) pays 74.50E for a 6 day pass :)

I have a feeling that my lift pass costs are likely to quadruple this season.....

Aren't you in the free lift pass territory yet Dave :)
An update on next years trip to the Hotel Christina on 30th January.
Full details are on the first page of this thread.

Basic holiday is half board and includes transfer from airport/train station. A £40 discount for self-drive.

The hotel is very nearly full now.
We have space for a single female to share @£445
There are three superior twins available @ £485 per person.
A triple room (three single beds) @£445 each.
Two family rooms, great with under 12's, about the same as other rooms with adults.

Our group is now 24 strong - very mixed across abilities, although I don't think we have any first timers this year. Ages from late teens up to **cough cough** much older. We do have 7 more "thinking about it", but first come first served on rooms.

If you want any more info then PM me please.
All I would add is that two pairs of gloves may prove a godsend.
Nothing worse than wet gloves......
Look on the bright side Adders - the nights are drawing in :)
