Pity BB, maybe for the 10th Anniversary Holiday???

And I thought that Ian not coming would have been enough encouragement !!
:)
Yep - one twin and a single (female) share available to anyone - well, within reason :)
There is some change in emphasis amongst those of us looking forward to Alpe D'Huez in January.

Ski related conversation is increasing.
One or two people have started to exercise!!!!
Mind you more are looking at buying new Kit.

Only 5 months to go!
:)
Numbers haven't changed over the summer but as Autumn comes in more people may be sorting out their ski trips for the winter.

So ......
24 booked and sorted.
One twin room available, possible a family room (ask and I will check).
One single female share available.
That means we have space for three more.

Full details on the first page of this thread - drop me a PM for more info.....

Who knows whether snow will be early or late next Christmas.
Last year was a very late season snow wise.
In Courchevel.......
17 Dec = 13/53 lifts open
22nd Dec = 27/53
24th Dec 33/53
The increasing number of open lifts was the planned opening of the 1550 and 1650 ski area which do not start until Xmas week in any year. Early lifts are those above 1850 only, no matter how much snow has fallen. There was no new snow between 17th Dec and 28th Dec. After this second snowfall everything was open.
Phew - that's OK then :)
If it were me at that time of year I would aim to use Courchevel 1550 as my base for ski lessons and starting the day etc.
If you hired from a shop there they would probably let you leave your kit with them over night to save carting it back down the hill.
I know several people who have had some very good lessons from the 1550 ski school and I think the slopes here are good for novices - plus a doddle to get up and into the main area above 1850 on a gondola.
1550 is more central than 1650 for the skiing and closer to Bozel and noticeably cheaper than 1850.
I can't recommend a specific shop I am afraid but have a look on the look to the left on this page that says save on ski hire and see how near to the bottom of the gondola any of the SkiSet shops are.
Are you talking about the village of Bozel which is at the bottom of the Courchevel Valley??

If so and it is not too late I suggest reconsidering your resort choice.
From Bozel you will have to get a bus or drive up to one of the main Courchevel resorts higher up the mountain. Pre-Christmas/Christmas week the snow above Courchevel 1550 - so resorts of 1550, 1650 and 1850 (the resorts have names as well but I will stick to the altitudes) will be skiable no matter how much snow has fallen due to an excellent snow making system.
The resort nearest to you is 1350 or Le Praz - whilst it is very likely the better skiers will be able to get back to this low resort the quality of snow would be suspect that early in the season.
Staying so low down the mountain very early in the season is probably not the best choice. I have skied down to Bozel once for a bit of fun but there are no lifts to the best of my knowledge linking the village back up to the main (and extraordinarily good) ski area of Courchevel.
Sorry to be so negative but - can you change your plans????

It is my understanding that the legality or not of the British model of Ski Hosting is something that the French Courts are looking at, not something that has already been decided.

I am unaware of any deaths to skiers/boarders who have been out with a Ski Host. I am aware of the UCPA qualified (French) instructor who led two of his pupils to their deaths under La Toviere in Tignes......
