Long Weekend

I would suggest easy access from Geneva as a top criteria.
Depending on how early you can get away on Friday there are a good number of flight options and then a short transfer - reverse (and possibly more important), late flights on Sunday.
The further from the main London airports you have to travel from the harder this gets. Would you be allowed the Friday off to make it three days or even add the Monday for 4???
My sister and niece went to Courmayeur a couple of years ago - happy with the prices and enough for a few days.
They are returning to the same place next year, again due to work pressure.
They use an agent to book - may be worth seeing what some travel agents are suggesting and then decide if to go independent or use one of the "packages" ??
Good luck.

Is driving a bit slower an option???????
Oh dear.......
All getting a bit competitive !!!
Exercising :(
Personal innuendos etc etc

and 120 days to go :)

Still a bit early for the daily snow and webcam updates from ADH don't you think peeps???

Mind you still a couple of places left for anyone interested in joining this (usually!!!) friendly group of all abilities and ages in Alpe D'Huez next January 30th.
Haven't been to the gym for a couple of decades - won't notice any difference :)

I will arrive on the Saturday, and do my best to continue the J2ski appreciation of ADH.

Haven't decided whether to train or fly yet - if I train perhaps we could meet for a drink before I leave ?
A recap for new readers.......
This is a group ski/boarding trip to Alpe D'Huez on January 30th 2016 for a week,
Staying in the Hotel Christina, half board - which is right on the piste towards the top of the resort.

24 booked so far - with a real mix of ages and experience.
No first timers this year yet - but in past years newcomers have been well looked after.

A mid-priced holiday, cost summary on the first page ( https://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/15996.page ) - basically; hotel and airport transfer then arrange own travel. People are flying from all over the place, coming by train and self-driving.

Rooms - I know we have a twin available and a single, female share.
Possibly a triple and a family room (twins and bunks).

If you want more info send me a PM.

No Dave - holiday finishes on Saturday 6th Feb.
Last full day is the Friday, couple of people may get some skiing on the Saturday but Alpe D'Huez will be celebrating a return to normality and peace on the Sunday......
