Will the snow come?

That's about 6 weeks away. There could be 10 feet of snow by then.
If there is no snow the week before you go then you will have cause for concern.
Driving from Nice to Isola 2000

Very easy drive it's only an hour and unless there is a huge amount of snow the roads are usually very clear.
There is a very good bus service to the resort from Nice airport.
I think you have lost the first 6 people on your list!
Where is all the snow?

Two years ago There was no snow in Meribel until the 9th December and then it snowed and snowed for weeks.
I had the best conditions ever on the 15th December for a few days when I had been worried up until the previous week.
It will come people.
La Thuile on 4th March
I can't comment about the UK airports enforcing restrictions about ski bag length but I have been using Ryanair and Aer Lingus from Dublin for years and my ski bag is about six foot and I have never been questioned.
I pay for the ski carriage and pack the bag with skis, boots and my clothes for the week and never have a problem.
It's about €40 for a bag return and €60 for a ski bag so to me it's a no brainer.
Sestriere on December 11th. 31 days and counting.
Stag Ski Weekend

From Dublin fly to Milan Malpensa and go to Sestriere, high altitude so should still be good conditions by then.
Or Ryanair to Milan Betgamo and go to Cervinia, another high altitude resort.

For a stag though I would fly to Munich ( evening flights out and back from Dublin) and drive to St Anton or Ischgl. I haven't no been to Ischgl as I find it very difficult to get short term accommodation there but I have done St Anton in early April for a weekend.
