Getting colder every day. Snow forecast Thursday, Friday and Sunday.Four sleeps and a cat nap to go as as we will be heading off to airport at 2am Sat!

From the local it is supposed to get colder from Sunday but alas no mention of any SNOW!!

Spoke to one of the locals today who confirmed that id did rain all day yesterday in Soll Town but out of curiosity he went skiing in the evening on the lit pistes and was amazed how good a condition the pistes were in.

Skied in Schladming every year from 2004-2009 and even in the freak season 2007 in January with green pastures surrounding the pistes they were in excellent condition. Fantastic snow canon infrastructure.

It seems that most places in Austria are getting quite abit of snow over the next 48 hours but Soll will be rain up to 1700 where they might get a measily cm. Weather due to get colder next week and some of the white stuff due next Wed/Thurs. Fingers crossed, touching wood, I promise to be a good. We all know it can all change at a drop of a hat!

Tony some folk have no staying power! As a mature group of competent skiers we probably burnt the candle at both ends to much last year in Soll but what fun we had hence us going back this year!

Minor matter I know but when you are paying 3.50 Euros for a large beer on the mountain as well as the food being lovely and reasonably priced it swings it for Schladming.
