Getting fit for skiing
Started by NellyPS in Ski Fitness, 510 Replies, discussing Tignes and Val Thorens
Well for a whole week now I have done a 20 minute session everyday on my step machine and not a thing has passed my lips that contains fat or sugar (Except some Vodka on Friday evening).

I have not lost a bl**dy ounce!!!
I think you are right there Ally!

What would you take for Christmas?

When my eldest son was about 7 he actually did his best to break the news gently to me, that FC doesn't exist. I must have been so convincing that he thought I had never caught on! Bless him.

You beat me to it Kate, that's exactly what I was going to say! :D

Have been told that in Austria Xmas eve is the big celibration & this is when presents are exchanged. Going to be weird for the kids if this is the case as father Christmas is still the real deal in our house, how do you expain that one?should still be really special though. Enjoying not having the hassle of planning for Christmas & leaving all down to someone else to do.
On our return home we will celebrate Xmas with the outlaws.

If they are still young enough to believe in Father Christmas they probably haven't mastered the calender yet. Just don't mention the date.

Tony seems to think I'm on drugs already (after reading my posts). Can't think why

I've been tea-total for about 20 years, and never taken any drugs - these days I even drink de-caffeinated tea.

But I do know what it's like to be on drugs. As a family we accidentally ate some magic mushrooms once, when I was only nine, and they have the same effect as LSD. We were all hallucinating and found it very difficult to walk etc. - so I'm quite sure someone on LSD wouldn't be able to ski.

Ally

You're talking illegal substances, I'm talking drugs

Magic mushrooms were legal back then. -)
