the charge is €69 return as far as I can see for the coach service so the public transport is great value...it all depends on the time of your flight though

just come back from self catering and found the prices pretty high ...especial in the little local "supermarkets" ...take a roll of cling film and all the essentials and if you are driving go out of town to the bigger stores where things are a lot cheaper...and also take a ruck sack to carry your lunches in ...flasks...coffee was €3.60 a cup in Flaine last week
but we did enjoy ourselves ...have a great time |

I checked up on return yesterday and the girl at the jet2 desk asked that for me and was told they had..
There are about 7 ski flights on Saturday mornings to Geneva and if you are a lone skier you can't be at two places at once, as they (the skis+ oversize luggage) all come to the same place...at the same time ..with dozens of people milling around...as I said Chaos |

My skis and boots went on the plane in Manchester but did (possibly) not arrive in Geneva ..The Airport is chaos on a Saturday morning with 6/7 flights arriving within 1/2 an hour..and one little place to collect them from ..waited for mine for an hour and no joy ...only a bag like mine but not mine left there, so went off having reported it. I actually feel that someone took the wrong bag and nearly spoiled my holiday..I was (and am) really p*****d off
They never arrived so I had to hire skis and boots.. €141 ..now for the help ..who shall i claim from ..airline or insurance ...anyone had any experience?? Advice for anyone travelling with skis ..make the bag different ...if i get mine back I shall spray paint part of it with my initials a fluorescent colour |

Just back from above and had a great time 7 days of sun...most of the slopes are open and the conditions on the piste were great but getting a bit thin ..the forecast was for lots of snow in the next few days..but take care with your cash ,,there are robbers in Flaine...€3.2 for a packet of crisps! €3.6 for a cup of coffee and €7.5 for a bowl of soup Samoens was much cheaper and so was Morrillons and if you have a car make sure you shop out of town as the local small supermarkets are nearly as expensive!
