I'd like to share my story of face planting (not face painting). It took place off piste in Mayrhofen during my days on the dark side as a snowboarder.

It was a lovely sunny day, there was tons of powder, I was going for a small jump but ended up digging the front of my board into a drift and then somersaulting over a small tree, and landing face first into (fortunately) another snow drift.

Apparently it was quite spectacular.

This is also valuable information. I will be giving this a wide birth but I'm sure Mr Nelly will be delighted to try it.

Great video and lovely skiing. Am now uber excited about my trip to N, departing on Saturday 26th, the snow looks snowey, the runs look nice and wide and with any luck my cosmic order for snow will be delivered on time in the next week :)

I've read so much about N on here and have always dismissed it, then found a bargain (budget skiing this year) in N and I thought, well, you have to try it to have an opinion.

I was slightly concerned that having been to some of the worlds largest resorts and done 6 seasons this might be a bit dull and I'd be bored by Sunday lunchtime, but then I thought well, at least I'm going somewhere, I'll hire a board for a day or two (not done that for 3 years), perhaps have a day trip to Ski Welt and before I know it the week will be over.

I'm looking forward to it, its a holiday, I'll get to ski and will do a full report when I get home :)
