I have been thinking about my plans today, BA are looking like £97.70 gatwick to salzburg. This is a bit of a pain from my location 20 minutes past bristol but the next cheapest you're looking at £180+ for a local flight! Thinking of baseing ourself in flachau we're me and a friend can get an room for 20e's a night, then exploring the salzburger sportwelt region properly as we only got to the wagrain area last winter with school!

I first learnt in winter park and believe it would be great for you! You can ski right from top to bottom on blues and greens, plus the resort has an excellent beginners area called Snoasis i think. There has been lots of development at the resort meaning more hotels in the resort as supposed to the town of winter park which is about 10 mins bus away! I believe from the winter park website that april is one of the hightest snowfall months so you should be able to have lots of fun!

Sainte Foy really appeals, such a nice little looking resort!

I saw a t-bar in Bad Gastein and thats the only one i've ever seen! I'd recommend the OP to go anywhere in the Ski Amade, short transfers and modern lifts!
Zauchensee is a place i particularly want to visit and i would suggest it would potentially be great for the OP! |
