Apparently if we all continue as we are now we will need another 2 planets to supply our needs (anyone got a spare planet or two?).

Plus, I prefer going on the train anyway :D

People need to stop believing everything they read in the Daily Mail

I wouldn't expect one particular person to speak English but I have never come across someone that has no English ability whatsoever. Always try to speak to local language but usually when they realise that I am not getting anywhere they attempt to speak English and are often grateful of the practice.
There was a problem with posting on news stories, 'approval' was required.

Figure it has just been fixed and all the posts waiting for approval have dropped at the same time.

People in Europe generally have a better grasp of English than we do of their language. It is not ignorance on my part but generally when I visit Europe I fully expect others to have some understanding of our language. I attempt the local language wherever I go and know quite a lot but actually getting my Scottish accent to sound anything like French/German/Italian is near impossible.

Edit: by Scottish I obviously mean Colombian )

I'd just want something that would put people off. £11 is quite steep, you should be able to find one much cheaper.

It is hardly messing about. Takes a couple of minutes at the start of lunch.

I always thought hire insurance was for damage to the skis such as core shots etc.

If I was an insurance company or a hire shop I wouldn't offer insurance protecting against people leaving skis unattended. Like leaving your car unlocked with the door open
