It isn't skiing related, but it's very exciting...We were just told by the vet yesterday that Betty, my tortoise, is going to lay two eggs in the next week (probably while we are away skiing!). Two eggs as plain as day on the x-ray ready and waiting...what a pressy!!!

I decided to edit my post and start a new thread...I felt it deserved it.

I'm sure they will end up with skiing related names at some point!

I've been barred from that forum...kept talking about skiing!
...Well not me exactly, but it's very exciting...We were just told by the vet yesterday that Betty, my tortoise, is going to lay two eggs in the next week (probably while we are away skiing!). Two eggs as plain as day on the x-ray ready and waiting. It's thrown us into a bit of a panic but we have a good friend who is going to come and check everyday and act as midwife if necessary. Sorry Mr Admin, it's not entirely skiing related but I'm so excited I couldn't keep this quiet...What a pressy!!! I think this will probably be the first time on a skiing holiday that I will be thinking occasionally about what's happening back home!

Sciatic Nerve!!!

SF, I have had the same problem on a few occasions due to a condition I have and I can relate to the pain you are experiencing. I can also tell you that once a physio therapist has diagnosed what is causing the sciatic pain they will be able to show you exercises to free up the nerve and strengthen your spine. Once you start the exercises it will improve quickly so the sooner you see a physio the better...Don't write off your skiing holiday yet! Complete rest is not good for sciatic problems so try to keep mobile. )
