Part of a ski region that links Val Lumnezia and Piz Mundaun. The men's and women's FIS Super G events have been staged here in recent years and the 1998 Swiss Alpine Skiing Championships also took place at this resort.

The Swiss ski resort of Obersaxen has direct access to 120km of downhill skiing, with 52 individual pistes, served by 20 ski lifts.
With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
Snowmaking :- Obersaxen is able to augment natural snow, on 5km of ski runs, with 16 Snow Cannons.
Ski Lift Capacity :- The 20 Ski Lifts of Obersaxen are able to uplift 4,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
There are two airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Obersaxen are perfectly feasible.
