Serfaus (Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis), Austria (1200m to 2820m)

An amazing Tyrolean village in that, in addition to a history dating back to 1500BC, a lovely atmosphere and first-rate skiing, it has its own underground railway system. Not bad for a population of 1,100! Especially good facilities for children.

Since 2005 the village has been jointly promoted with neighbouring Fiss and Ladis. The three villages in the Inn Valley are located in one of the sunniest areas in the Tyrol, clocking up more than 2000 hours of sunshine each year.

The resulting winter sports paradise Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis with its three historical villages is located on a sunny high plateau above the Tyrolean Inn Valley, framed by the mighty 3000-metre Samnaun mountains and the Ötztal Alps. Here winter sports fans have the choice of 204 km of ski runs, of which 125 km are at over 2000 m altitude, 119 km of cross-country skiing trails - groomed daily -, more than 70 ski lifts, freeride slopes, terrain parks, and the whole gamut of winter fun sports.

Serfaus

The Austrian ski resort of Serfaus is part of the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Ski Area with access to 204km of downhill skiing, with 87 individual pistes, served by 70 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Serfaus itself (204km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski resorts of Fiss and Ladis.

With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Snowmaking :- Serfaus is able to augment natural snow, on 155km of ski runs, with 1000 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 70 Ski Lifts of Serfaus are able to uplift 87,250 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are two airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Serfaus are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
