Kaltenbach

The Austrian ski resort of Kaltenbach is part of the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen Ski Area with access to 49 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Kaltenbach itself (69km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski resorts of Aschau im Zillertal and Hochfügen. Kaltenbach is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Aschau im Zillertal.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Kaltenbach is able to augment natural snow, on 108km of ski runs, with 115 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 16 Ski Lifts of Kaltenbach are able to uplift 21,900 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are four airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Kaltenbach are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
