Thanks for advice and have just bought a pair on e/bay cheapest pair I could find £30 including postage, we have used them before on a hired car 2 years ago so have a bit of experience putting them on, thanks again! :roll:

I'm driving to Morzine for February half term and I need to get a hold of snow chains, is it best to buy them or hire them and if so does anyone know if its better to get them in the uk or in France ?? Need advice as want to plan ahead and i think its a legal requirement help needed!!! Cheers )

Stayed last year in Flaine Foret with Ski Horizon really great service and have booked with them again going to St Jean D'Aulp near Morzine!!

We are going to St Jean D'Aulp which is near Morzine and Avoriaz and once again have booked our accom thru ski horizon its £600 for half term week which is quite cheap although St Jean is quite small we have our car so can drive 10 mins to the vast skiing in Avoriaz, we usually drive all the way from Uk and does work out cheaper with euro tunnel only £130! :wink:

Went to Flaine France last year first week in April and was fabulous plenty of snow on all the runs, we booked accomodation with Ski Horizon (really cheap £500 for the week )basic accomodation but if that's just what you want its great! We stayed Flaine Foret!

My technique is getting better each time I go skiing, but when I get on a steeper run how can I carve and take the speed out (like a breaking mechanism going downhill) what do I need to do ??
