We are looking at flying into Grenoble for transfer onto Les Menuires, we need to book our transfer either taxi bus or car hire !! Does anyone out their have knowledge and experience and throw some light our way!!! We are a party of 4 adults! Thanks peeps!!

Sauze it fab and a great place to stay is Stella Alpina at bottom of slope!

Need advice on the resort for summer skiing has anyone been and also where to stay, want to mix up the holiday with cycling glacier skiing plus some water activities, is it best to stay nearer the lake or in Kaprun or in between, we are a family of four any advice would be great :lol:

I've had 2 trips this year - one to St Jean D'Aulps with family in car and one spontaneous trip to Sauze via Ryannair. Rented skis on both occasions. The cost of shipping skis has made me think that buying skis may not be cost effective however the quality of the rentals varied - France were poor and Sauze good. How can you better guarantee the quality of kit so you don't end up floundering around on 8 year old planks with snow sticking to the bottoms every time you stop to catch a breath or 2? Are the deals on the Internet just a way of luring one into low quality kit ?

OldAndy, Many thanks for the info that is a great help, what is the skiing conditions like is it icy on the glacier I have no idea what to expect, we are pretty much intermediates but do like a challenge although I don't like ice too much!!
