Yes, often go there provided it fits the bill, which Moscow-on-snow doesnt, along with Teenz, Flan, and a few others I could mention.

Southern French Alps is kind of ok though: SC, ADH, etc.

I looked at La Rozzer a few times before and thought NO as well, but maybe, just maybe, its worth a go......
I'll probably end up in Villeneuve though

Tone, La Rosiere is definitely not like the French 'industrial skiing' resorts; it's small and not particularly challenging. It is made by La Thuile, which is bigger and more challenging. Why not stay there (cheaper to eat, drink etc) and nip into France when the mood takes you?

Because there is very little accommodation available on the mass market other than the over priced Planibel apartments. Anyway, I have reonsidered and binned La Rozzer off and found a great deal to return to ADH after a couple of years.

The Planibel is grossly over-priced (and it looks like something from East Germany at the height of Communism!) but the Hotel Du Glacier is a great place to stay, the Miramonti is an excellent 4-star and much cheaper if you book direct. But Alpe D'Huez it is then!
