My Doctor, who clearly did not know who his father was, decided to give me my injection on the 23rd December. I spent most of Christmas day on the phone to the NHS hotline making sure the number of painkillers I was taking was not going to have any fatal consequences :shock:

To make matters worse I have a 'life threatening' case of man flu. Not sure if I will make it through the night.

Icy - have you tried the traditional steam inhalation method - making a steam tent with a basin of hot water (with something like eucalyptus oil in it if you've got some) and a towel over your head?
Doing that usually clears a blocked nose.

Not tried that. Think I have some Vicks in the cupboard. It says on the instructions to rub on chest...how does that help??!!

Done the steam tent, worked but then it blocked up again. Rubbed on chest as per instructions on the bottle

Icy - you have to sit with your head in the steam tent for about 20 minutes - you can't have done it for more than about 2 minutes!
