This rubbing in the chest option is working wonders. Gone through a pack of tissues already. Hopefully a shower in the morning will get rid of the smell!

When my kids were little and they had blocked noses I used to use the gelatin Karvol capsules and open them up and sprinkle them on the bedding, by their noses. It seemed to work pretty well.
