We've started paying our deposits to Bonjour now, so we're definitely going on this J2Ski group holiday to the chalet Bonjour-Bonjour in Tignes Les Brevieres

As suggested by Ally (quite rightly) I have started a new thread about 2014.

I hope that this is giving everyone plenty of notice and opportunity to suggest times and place to go.

Hi Felthorpe,
Well done for starting a new thread about the 2014 holiday

I think we should keep this 2013 thread going because there are still things we need to sort out, and there are several spare rooms at the moment in the chalet for J2Ski latecomers

As far as I know Bonjour will be putting the surplus rooms back on the market on Wednesday 2nd May. But I have no idea how long it will be before they're all booked by other guests.

This is a photo taken from the mountain restaurant Le Trifollet, which is above La Daille (in the Val d'Isere half of the Espace Killy).

We skied here from Les Boisses on the first morning (Monday 23rd April 2012) of my research trip, after going down into Les Brevieres first to have a look at it, and by the time we got here I was ready for a hot chocolate!

This restaurant is in a very good position because it's connected by green, blue, and red runs and you don't have to ski down into La Daille to reach it (although we did because we wanted to). There's the blue Criterium, the green Verte, and the red Triffolet as well as the red Coupe de Monde 'OK' pistes down into La Daille.

It is, however, very expensive. Our hot chocolate was 4-20 euros and the tea was 4-50. But the view is great and I really did need a rest and a hot drink by the time we got there

That looks great in the sunshine Ally. Well worth 4.20 Euros just for the view.

Let's hope the weather is as good as that when we're there in January - plenty of sun and snow

Some people in our chalet were only using sun cream factor 10 and they got burnt like strawberries

I was fine because I was using one of those special ski cream sticks that do sun cream and lip salve, and it was factor 50

Well - most of it has gone into this thread - under the cunning guise of it being a 'research' holiday in preparation for the group one in January

The only thing I haven't described is the chalet we were staying in, in Les Boisses, and it's the same one we stayed in, in October 18 months ago - and I did write a report on that
