There is also the trackway that comes down from the Rila chair, a nice wide blue from the chair, a little steep at the top but flattens into a nice wide cruising run, follow that ignoring the turn offs to the (very nice when you are ready for them) reds to a slightly tricky corner onto the trackway. Then it is green all the way back to the bottom or several options of red and blue to drop back down.

@ Ian; yeah of course I am! And well I'm not going with my family but family friends and we take lessons with Hunters ski school everyday.
@davkt that route sounds good! Does it have a name? Really fancy trying that one.

Martinovi Baraki 1 is the blue (MB 2 and 3 are reds off it), the green part is the bottom end of the Royal Residence (which is a pain at the top, lots of uphill). The Musala Pathway is a better bet if you want a long green, some flat sections to skate or pole but no real uphill.

Snow reports from Borovets, and Bulgaria in general, are very good at the moment. Certainly a hell of a lot better than last year!!

I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM BOROVETS 21/01/12,AND IF SNOW CONTINUES AS IT IS AT THE MOMENT,YOUR IN FOR A GREAT TIME.I DID.ps this was my third visit and best conditions yet :-)
