Saas Grund is part of the Saastal ski area with access to 159km99 miles of downhill skiing, with 56 marked pistes, served by a total of 35 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Saas Grund itself (45km28 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Saastal ski resorts of Saas Almagell and Saas-Fee.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Saas Grund is Sion, 90 minutes drive away.

Berne and Annecy airports are all within three hours drive.

Infrastructure

The six ski lifts are able to uplift 11,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 25km16 miles of ski runs, with 14 snow cannons.

When is Saas Grund open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.
