Review of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, Austria

"Relaxing ski venue"

reviewed by Tonyr *

Have skied there since 1985 and never looked back. Lovely atmosphere and try to return for at least 7 nights every year.

Well groomed runs with abundant pit stops, all served by excellent lift system. Regular ski buses down the valley to Solden for more advanced skiers/boarders.

Unless staying in one of the many hotels, finding evening meals can be difficult. Have rarely been unable to ski due to poor snow, tend to now expect blue skies in March

Review of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, Austria

"Amazing hotel. OK resort"

reviewed by Judith *

The Hochfirst Hotel is fabulous and right by a ski lift linking into the main resort - a 6 star experience. However, Obergurgl itself is slightly disappointing, with a fairly limited variety of runs, in our opinion, offset against a very expensive lift pass (430 euros). It's ok, but not a resort we'd rush back to; we much prefer the likes of Saalbach or Schladming.
