On a good day the view of the Zugspitze mountain is truly spectacular. The ski region itself is well spread out (the various parts are not- lift-linked). Another 10 resorts on the Austro-German border are included. Après ski is informal, normally centred on the cable car station and various bars.


The Austrian ski resort of Lermoos is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,000m3,281ft, with 30km19 miles of marked runs.

Lermoos is part of the Zugspitz Arena ski area with access to 116km72 miles of downhill skiing, with 30 marked pistes, served by a total of 47 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Lermoos itself (30km19 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zugspitz Arena ski resorts of Berwang and Ehrwald.

With ski lifts as high as 2,230m7,316ft, snow cover is generally reliable.


There is skiing to suit a range of abilities.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Lermoos is Innsbruck Airport, 58 minutes drive away.

Memmingen, Munich, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Bolzano, Friedrichshafen, Stuttgart and Salzburg airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.


Ski Lift Capacity

The nine ski lifts are able to uplift 12,500 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 12km7 miles of ski runs, with 15 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Lermoos open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Early Apr.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

COVID-19 / Coronavirus

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Lermoos, but they are likely to include most of the following :-

  • Face masks required on lifts, and in shops.
  • Social distancing in public areas.
  • Reduced lift capacity.
  • Extensive disinfection / sanitization.
