Located in the heart of the Lungau region, Fanningberg boasts a variety of runs suitable for all skill levels. With its family-friendly atmosphere, it’s perfect for both beginners and seasoned athletes looking for a more relaxed experience.

The ski area of Fanningberg is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,113m 3,652ft , with 30km 19 miles of marked runs.

Fanningberg is part of the Lungau ski area with access to 57 marked pistes, served by a total of 32 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Fanningberg itself ( 30km 19 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Lungau ski resorts of Großeck Speiereck and Katschberg-Aineck-Rennweg.

With ski lifts as high as 2,020m 6,627ft , snow cover is generally reliable.

Fanningberg features an extensive ski area with a vertical drop of 1,000 meters and over 30 kilometers of well-groomed pistes. Notable runs include the black run 'Fanningberg Abfahrt' and the highly-rated lift 'Fanningbergbahn' which provides quick access to the mountain’s diverse terrain.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Fanningberg is Salzburg, 90 minutes drive away.

Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Graz, Linz and Trieste airports are all within three hours drive.

Fanningberg is easily accessible via major transport routes. The closest airports are Salzburg and Klagenfurt, both providing convenient access to the resort, which is just a short drive from the nearest train stations.
