Soldeu / El Tarter is part of the Grandvalira ski area with access to 216km134 miles of downhill skiing, with 286 marked pistes, served by a total of 66 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Soldeu / El Tarter itself (92km57 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Grandvalira ski resorts of Canillo, Encamp, Ordino-Arcalís and Pas de la Casa / Grau Roig.

Soldeu / El Tarter Overview

Soldeu is the largest of the ski areas comprising the Grandvalira region, and sits between Pas de la Casa and El Tarter. Soldeu is a typically lively, good value Andorran resort with a large ski area.

The base at El Tarter is more traditional.

 Notable Ski Runs

The longest possible descent in Soldeu / El Tarter is 8km5 miles long and the most difficult run is the 'Avet No Fifteen', which is 2km1 miles in length.

Skiing

The ski area is served by parallel chair lifts and gondolas from the bases at Soldeu and El Tarter, giving multiple options to access the high altitude terrain, minimising queues. Two large ski areas designed for beginners are Els Espiolet in Soldeu and Riba Escorada in El Tarter. Intermediates will likely enjoy the skiing in Soldeu the most, with mostly easy and intermediate pistes to ski.

The ski lift link to Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig opens up over 200km (125 miles) of ski runs best suited to intermediates. Expert skiers have many options, including the off-piste area of Pic d'Encampadana.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Soldeu / El Tarter is Toulouse, 141 minutes drive away.

Carcassonne, Perpignan, Lleida-Alguaire, Barcelona and Girona airports are all within three hours drive.
