Here, I have said it before and I will say it again, that NHS direct website is dangerous!! Since I got back I have been exceptionally tired, got a sore throat, sore eyes, sore muscles, bad stomach, a cough and have sneezed a few times.
Aparaently I have a possible case of Pig Cold or New Influenza A (H1N1) as it"s informally known, and must consult my GP or hotline immediately by phone. Nothing at all to do with 3 days skiing in a t-shirt, no sleep, far too many shots (curtiousy of Pablo and his fascist student drinking techniques), not enough food and too much sun!! Last time I used that website I had meningitis and was advised to call an ambulance  |

There is no way I would book it before October anyway, you need to watch what the weather is doing, if it's an Indian summer I would wait till later. |

I think thier booking system is a little screwy personally.
I stayed there the first weekend in October last year and booked only a few days in advance. Lot's of hikers as well as skiers. The story with the Tux is relatively simple these days, if you stay in the village. They have 3 fast serial cable cars to get to the top in about 18 minutes from village, but at that time of year you can only ski the length of the final 2 (sometimes 1). I was very lucky last year and had 80cm of new snow the day I arrived, there was about 40km open, you can do about 1170m of vertical. |
