I'm quoting the marketing blurb. You say it is attempting to make it clear. I am just pointing out the muddy bits.
Rent an apartment, even cheaper. Drive out, so that you can experience more than one resort. Often a season pass is the best deal for a month.
In Montgenevre it's 660 for a season pass and 860 for 4 week passes.

If you ski low season, the accommodation could be very good value.

Base yourself somewhere with good connections, maybe in the valley rather than in the resort direct, even cheaper. Briancon or Bourg St Maurice spring to mind as examples.

From the words big mountain and Badass, I'd say K2.... but then I don't read generally read the ski blurb, so I'm not tuned to the different makes' marketing speak.

@ Iceman, what awards? who are the expert who agree, how many of them? Does it deliver more than any other ski on the market as it claims (can you actually say that, shouldn't there be a Carlsberg caviat in there)?

The text is trying to hype/market the product and make it stand out from the crowd, not actually 'inform'.

The text tells you nothing other than it is a ski aimed at upper intermediate / advanced skiers - as a 'BIG' mountain ski it is probably mainly an 'on-piste' ski. Possibly a 60/40. Am I in the ballpark?

So the new text should read: A good new advanced all mountain ski. We gave some freebies to some skiers and they said they liked it.

What it doesn't tell you is that it is like a dozen other skis out there that it is competing with.

@ Pavelski, a noble effort, but you won't find the 'they're boxy but they're good' approach anywhere in marketing. I Know, that's what I do too.

Do please feel free to keep us entertained with some more jargon bingo.

Is it that? or the flames from the Banana Bar?
You should be fine most places in late March, it's a fantastic time of year to be skiing.

I would recommend Montgenevre, but there are a lot of other places around.

Ski-wise, don't go for big expensive resorts as you won't make the most of them, that includes Chamonix. However, you get better nightlife in the bigger resorts. It depends how 'happening' you want the resort to be and how correspondingly fat your wallet is.
On the subject of sunglasses.....

Lens colour can depend on the colour of your eyes. I don't like the yellow lenses because my grey eyes find them too harsh (apparently if I had brown eyes it wouldn't bother me), so I have pink lenses...and the whole world is rosy.

Key thing was that they fit with my helmet, didn't leave that little gap at the top which gives you brain freeze. Bolle, Euro60 with big discount. Black.

I have sunnies for the spring to avoid the goggle tan lines, but I end up crying a lot at speed.
Late April is a bit weird. In a ski resort it's the end of the season, not many people around. It's not the start of the summer either. Chamonix being an all-year round place is a good bet. Serre Chevalier, Val D'Isere (not as good for hiking).

The resorts with glaciers in France tend to be rather ugly. I'm thinking Tignes, Deux Alpes etc.

Book late. It could be -20c and 6ft of snow or a heatwave like last year.

Don't expect to ski beyond lunchtime. err. Otherwise try Lapland for good snow conditions in late April.

To say it's a steep black is a huge undertstaement!
Wheres this steep black? Or did you mean "step back" instead???? )

There's couple off the top of the Serre-Thibaud ridge which are 'proper steep' but not moguly. Do you care? A good morning's ski is doing the 9 blacks in Montgnevre and Claviere. Guaranteed to feel the burn.
