I am just not sure what the point of attending unless you work in the industry and want to do some networking. Especially for the price. Is it some sort of a statement? If entry is cheap and it's nearby enough not to spend any significant time getting there then it's one thing, could be done to kill some time on a weekend with nothing better to do, but other than that it doesn't seem to be worth the hassle in the days when so much information is easily available online. I am not surprised that attendance is dropping and I don't think it reflects falling interest in skiing.

Cold conditions are not current anymore, so I doubt there will be any consolidation of snow pack going on in the nearest future but some of it will definitely melt away in the next 7 warm days, and no-one knows yet when next snow will arrive. Saas Fee is a bit of a trek from Geneva but you will be guaranteed snow, and it's a pleasant train journey followed by the bus. I only skied there once for a day maybe 6 years ago, so don't know it all too well, but I wasn't under impression that skiing was particularly hard there; in any case it's a fairly big area so you should be able to find suitable terrain. Many resorts close to Geneva were not even skiable last Christmas.

Freezing level is going up again this week :( When I was leaving my chalet yesterday evening trees already started shedding snow, so looks like we are in for some spring skiing in the nearest future.

Yes, this Saturday will be great I think. Can't wait to do a few turns!

Tignes or Zermatt as above.

About half a meter fell in Verbier so they can open now next Saturday with some snow making. Still, a snowy December is needed for a good base and lets hope temperatures won't go up. Nice and cold this morning, so I am really looking forward to doing a few turns on Saturday. A year ago this time it felt really weird and totally wrong to ski when I saw people wearing short sleeves during day time at resort level.

You can also try non-stock liners like Zipfits. But have them fitted in the shop where you buy them. They will last very long time without packing out (about 200 days) and when they start packing out you will be able to add more material to them to get a tight fit again.
