Nice place ..didn't try the Vallee Blanche but did go to Chamonix which you can do on the pass for a day and also there is a free bus to la Thuille which I enjoyed more than Courmayuer and you can go twice on the lift pass

salzburg is the cheapest place to fly to ...a nice airport ...Obertuern is snow sure and if you go to the website transfers are €42.50 return
http://www.obertauern.com/en/winter/local-info/arrival/fly-shuttle/fromto-salzburg.html I have caught the 6.30am flight from Leeds and been skiing at 1pm If you go to the airport web site it will give you lots of info as to transfers |

TK Max are selling stuff off at the moment and have some bargains...I would recommend a jacket that you would wear here ..so that if you didn't like skiing(never) it wouldn't go to waste

Just got back from Arinsal yesterday and can report excellent conditions and lots of snow..we had sunshine on Saturday despite the forecast and I think there should be enough for the next couple of weeks unless they get a thaw. Arinsal is great for beginners and no one complained about the equipment hire and my companion who was a beginner thought the standard of tuition was good...most of the instructors speak or are English. The runs in arinsal are great for beginners ... get your instructor to take you to Pal which is much more interesting.
It seems to be well set up for beginners so enjoy your holiday..but pack some sun cream Where are you staying? |
