Chose the resort first, then go to resort website and you should be able to find all the links there.

wheres best to buy my lift pass?
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 20 Replies
Check resort website if you can buy your tickets online. For most things involving tour operators you pay a premium. Buying online you would probably have to collect them at the information desk and this will save you quite a bit of time compared to buying them at the desk and standig in a queue where half of the peope wouldn't even know what they want and spend ages each at the window.
Chamonix Mountain Guide Recommendations?
Started by Osbornca in Snowboarding, 2 Replies, discussing Chamonix
Well, I can't recommend a particular person, but I used twice Companie de guides de Chamonix Mont-Blanc, they are the oldest and most reputable. I am sure they will have guides for snowboard too. You will probably need to rent a split-board for touring though. Google for them to get contact details.
Ski Boots

You can take your current boots to a good bootfitter in the resort to have them checked. If shells are good there is usually a choice of liners to replace yours, like ZipFits which are highly popular.

I would discount 9:47 train, you may not have enough time to get train ticket. Ticket selling machines are quite easy to operate but you will be amazed at how many people struggle to work it out - particularly if you are queuing up after them and pressed for time. Sometimes it seems that there are people who don't even know where they want to go, so they just stand there aimlessly pressing buttons. And you must have a ticket now. Until December 11 tickets could be bought on trains but not any longer.
I have Titans which I bought at the end of last season because was looking for something better on icy pistes (I was tired of scrapping ice on Auras when off-piste became totally out of question for me) but that I could also take off-piste. I skied only one day on them this season due to conditions. They were very good on piste and not too much ski for a woman. I used to own Scott Maya, it's a very good ski, but despite its narrow waist it's mainly an off-piste ski, I think in one of the reviews it was said 60% off-piste and 40% on. If you like to rip groomers aggressively you won't like them. Titan is 1mm wider and mostly a piste-ski, 80%.

You can expand the menu to see details. Nendaz is not small, a few villages there, so depending on where you are going it's possible that there may be no bus at certain times. There is a bus from Sion to Haute-Nendaz at 13.40 for which you need 11.27 train.
