Ski clothing for my 6 year old
Started by User in Beginning Skiing, 10 Replies
My boy (6) gets cold when he stops but is fine otherwise;

Seperate ski jacket + trousers
Thermal under trousers
T-shirt
Fleece
Helmet
Mitts

I take a spare pair of mitts, hat and fleece for him incase he gets then damp, for after the skiing. Gloves are a pain, and nothing seems to fit kids hands properly.

Hi all.

At the end of my second ski holiday already, I made quick progress last year, but didn't get to the snozones for practice;
http://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/9682.page

Unfortunately with kids I had no time for lessons myself, a brief ten minutes at the end of the kids lesson showed I'm basically in the same state as before.

I did get one guided ski morning and made it down a Green, blue and a red, and in my free time finally mastered (eg not stacked it) a green/blue run on my own.

Assuming I similarly fail like last year to get real practice before my next holiday can any of you recommend;

"How To" books
Gym routines to strengthen the appropriate muscles
Vids on technique
Anything else inspirational

Much appreciated.
Driving: kit?

Hi, one more update:

Finally found snowchains the right size - not exactly cheaper than UK prices at €146. I think £90 has the halfords price, and online about £80.

Checked the car started up today, final proof will be in the leaving...

I've rented three sets of boots and not had any complaints on any of them.

Nobody recommends specific brands or models.

It's a joke getting advice on kit.
I've just driven (see my thread in Chatter) the route TomTom gave me was originally via Paris but I ignored that;

Calais to - Reims - Troyes - Dijon - Macon - Lyon - Geneve - Sallanches - Megeve

It was fairly easy. :)
