I just ran one of the part green part blue runs at Megeve, it's fine but like any run when you first do it - alone - and you're not experienced it's a little like 'where the hell am I going?', but I'm sure in a group it'll be a piece of cake.

Lol. Hence the name? :D |

As a new skier I'm not held up by tradition so wearing a helmet is easy. I find it better than a hat for keeping warm without sweating too...

Hi, sure but we're en France now. It seems they are the more expensive size too.
BTW we hired a car last year for two weeks and it had none of our problems; Mirrors frozen unable to open Handles and door frames frozen If only the deicing spray had survived the wife's car loading :p There was space available so I've emptied half of large cannisters of low temp screenwash and coolant into it. Overnight we're hitting -12*C on Sunday, so I'll fire it up on Monday just to see if it's alive. I've got the wipers up and sweeping off the snow daily so it doesn't collapse under the weight. ;) |

Cheers. Know of there is a fitter in Megeve?
I don't know if a boot could have prevented the stiffness in my calf and Achilles after a proper dumping but I'm sure it couldn't have made it worse! |

Ski boots that is.
I tried on a few pairs today, seemed ok (what do I know?) ski'd in a hire pair that were "similar" for a few hours without much trouble. Are they reputable? Is Viper a good model? I thought the fitting at a resort would be a lengthy process, but it's pretty much "do you like it?" |

I'm ashamed to say I failed to buy snow chains at Halfords or any one of a dozen motorway pit stops in France.
Apparently Citroen wheels are just too obscure and bespoke for everyone  I'll try again, before I leave... I've got the coolant and screenwash though...in the boot! |
