When my car needs a service I take it to a mechanic, when my PC goes wrong I give it to my oh to fix, when My skis need waxing, edging, servicing etc, I take them to a ski shop.

I only use my skis to ski, so like you I know nothing!

MY SKI TRIP TO EUROPE

.

Then it came to book our accommodation in the ski fields we were not told before booking all the ski fields in Europe only do 7 days min stay.

We Only had 11 days to ski so can't stay 11 days in Courmayeur only week to week.
Was a dream to go and ski Zermatt but also out of the question as w-week.
My travel agent said the only place in Europe we can go for 4 nights is st mortiz 'Yea' the most expenses resort in europe we had no where else to go so we booked there.

Your travel agent has obviously pulled a fast one, or needs to retrain...I did 4 nights in Alpe d'Huez a couple of weeks ago from Thursday to Monday and booked an extra day at the on the Monday we were due to leave so stayed until the Tuesday. It is certainly possible to book flexi stays in many european resorts as I have spent many an evening pricing up short ski breaks.

I do hope you are able to put the hassle of the booking process behind you and have a fabulous time anyway! :D
Nice to be here

But once in Training mode, i make sure im totally focused at what im doing. As i found that i was a lazy skiier, i have to really get my act together.

Theres a couple of good work outs that i found on this site that are quite good, where im working now there is a ski Gym above the ski centre where i can practise and work on the muscles need for getting myself in condition.

I do most of those exercises on a regular basis anyway to keep myself mobile, as I have AS. I'm more prepared for my skiing holidays than I thought I was! :D

I follow pretty much the same regime as Tony, although I start a little later maybe between 9 and 10. It is a holiday after all and enjoying breakfast together is something we just can't do when we are all working.

My exercise regime stopped on Christmas eve, I might do a few steps and crunchies over the next week to get myself warmed up a bit for next week. Actually I have been doing a bit of the 'TonyH' workout over the last two weeks-Running up and down escalators on my way to and from work in town

I don't know, but this is what Trencher said a while back:

Trencher wrote:Re left and right skis

The reference to racing is because some people use a very downhill ski biased technique. They either tune the inside and outside edges differently, or switch their left and right skis over after warm up runs, so as to have less worn inside edges for the race.

As an experiment, I tried asymmetric tuning last season on a pair of skis (86 inside edge and 87 outside edge), and didn't like the feel, but that may be just the way I did it. I'll retune them back to 87 both edges, before I use them again.

On snowboards, some people detune edges asymmetrically. I think it's better to ride as symmetrically as possible on a board, so don't see the need.
