On how many ways can you steer/turn

Well said on carving, Innsbrucker and Verbier SB.

However, the original question asks "How many different ways can you ski?" Appreciating the comments about the importance of solid parallel technique, both snowpough and stem christie are non-parallel.

Of course, most of us still use snowplough on a daily basis. But, in my early days, there were some very competent skiers who only skied stem christie. Before anyone jumps in and says !Ah, well what about off-piste?" ~ there was no piste and off piste.

I still do gegenshulter for a bit of fun, and balance drill ~ but in the 1920/30s gegenshulter was a useful ski tool.

One of the best Niederau instructors gets invitations to teach avalamont in the USA, (also called downward unweighting). I use this on a daily basis ~useful off piste and on bumps. My OH has a really neat down unweight technique.

The extension of down unweighting is called jetting, ~ looks great, but is a knee wrecker!

Lots of different ways....

That is a fast speed gun time, Wanderer. I spent some time this morning, talking to, and skiing with, (using that term loosely), members of the Canadian and Norwegian ski teams, in our Race Arena.
One of the Canadians acclelerated from T-bar level, and would have been close to 90kph prior to entering the speed channel.I didn't see the result, but 140kph has been broken here before. (Well above my puny 100kph)
Isn't it wonderful, that in the same day, I skied with some Disability Snowsport people, and rescued a lady off a steep pitch.
I am about to leave and get my free beer!!!!!

Not actually ice, TG, it is hardpack, butI know what you mean. I am currently having three pairs of skis edge sharpened!!! This is where I get my deliverance from buying my ski techie friend the odd beer!

Helluva day. Drove to Kitzbuhel to watch the Hahnenkamm training, skied down the side of the course, and then down the GS, watching young nutters hurling themselves over cliff edges at 90mph. Then went over to Westendorf, and did a few runs. Just made the last run in Niederau. Getting my moneys worth out of the Tirol season card.
Just missed out on a meet up with an Austrian WC downhiller, I was late ~ a guy I have done some work for in the past year.
So far, managing a drawing every day, and managing some painting, too.
It's a hard life in the mountains.....
SnowLily, if you believe that the ts & cs were genuinely confusing, or easily open to misinterpretation, then say that to the insurance company ~ but be really precise, do not add any bits and pieces.
Ask that they reconsider, and state that you believe that you have grounds for complaint with the financial ombudsman. (Of course, you will have to wait for their response prior to approaching the FO. You also will need a copy of their reply).
I had a discussion this year, when investingating my annual travel needs. admitedly they were, in some ways complex, but several companies could meet the needs.
In the course of the process, I phoned several companies, and asked detailed queries.
As a result, one company has changed and clarified it's Ts & cs.

The font size has gone tiny, abot 8 or 9. If I increase the viewing size, it screws up pages in other tabs.

I too, cannot find any button that will allow the me to see what I have read, or not read.

The forum section occupies only 40% of the screen page width. Adverts and blank make up the other 60%.
Who owns the land?

My good ski friend owns farm land on the ski slopes, for which he gets an annual rent from the ski company. He also owns some land on the other side of the road, facing the mountain ~ where he has built his hotel.

One of the land owners towards Oberau owns the farm over which there is an off piste run. He objected, hence he receives no rent. We just ski on it anyway. In reality, skiers are doing no harm to the land.
Up at 7am....i'm on a mission.

OK so my exiting sallos have lasted a loooong time, and are a bit, hmmm, well, lets just say you could stand them up in a corner, and they would be OK by themselves.

I confess to having squandered £19,90 on a pairof Lidl sallos. They were short of one pocket, and did not have a strong waist fix, but at that price they are a spare, and I use them for playing tennis. And then, perusing TKMax, I bought a really well designed and well made pair for £29.

Unfortunately, they are blue, (OK they are cc with my jacket), butI would have preferred goulash coloured
