I've only ever spent 2 weeks in canada (fernie) and would definately say it's the best fortnights skiing i've ever had. Snow was incredible, pistes were great, free tour guides put on by the resort, no cues and great variety of runs from greens to double blacks :shock: and no language barrier. (This also means the ladies will love your accent!)
There was a cool bar in the town (i believe it was called the grand central?) that had friendly staff and an open mic night ) was cheap too!! Didn't really do much off pisteing so wouldn't be able to speak on that front but i would definately rather spend a season in Canada than europe. Although there was that cramped 9 hour flight, 3 hour transfer and the jet lag. Well worth the sacrifice for a season though i think. |

Exactly how many holidays have you been on this season? you always seem to be going away?
Geneva airport is without a doubt the best airport i've ever been to. we were in/out within 15 minutes of landing. What I would say is don't get caught out with the currency on the way back. I tried to buy an english newspaper for 2.5 euros (or so it said on the paper) to get rid of some change. Then found that the shop I bought it from in the airport only accepted swiss franc and in the end i paid with a euro note not really understanding the situation, which was exchanged at a dogshit rate, only to be given a shit load of swiss shrapnal back in return! Enjoy the hol mate! |

me too!! a 360 carve? surely not? I guess it needs a lot of pace and a very balanced skier that knows how to shift weight quickly!!
Now I know what my next few tamworth sessions will be spent doing!! |

yeah they reckon soon enough there will be no red squirrels in the uk, the greys are mixed breeding with them. Think there's a sanctuary somewhere thats keeping the red squirrels going though.
