Was the single seat chair like this one Pavel?
They don't supply you with a rope in Japan |

This one is 1.4 kms long, and a vertical rise of over 600m. |

How about a nutcracker rop tow?
These rope tows are very common in the club ski fields in New Zealand. |

The local forecast is looking much more promising than the one on here, with temps staying below 0 all week at resort level.
It was raining at the resorts today, but the freezing level is supposed to drop to well below base level overnight with snow on and off all week. |

when is your holiday booked? They have good snowmaking weather at the moment with some snow predicted over the next week. Given the extensive snowmaking, if you are going after this week, you will be fine.

Statistics show that skiers are 3 times more likely to be involved in a collision than snowboarders.
http://www.nsaa.org/nsaa/press/facts-ski-snbd-safety.asp This article makes interesting reading, it says, among other things, that the risk of collisions has stayed fairly static over the last 30 years. I have also seen research (but cannot find it now) that showed that skiers are more likely to collide with other skiers and snowboarders are more likely to collide with other snowboarders. |

It has a very wide field of view Icy, so even if you don't quite have it right, you should still get some good footage.
If you are really concerned, there is supposed to be a wifi backpack coming out for the gopro HD2 which will allow you to watch what you are filming from your iphone / android phone while it is recording. Probably not a good idea to be looking at your phone while you are actually skiing though. Another option is to mount it to your helmet, put your helmet on and start it recording, then take it off and check your footage. Once you are happy with the angle, simply remember about where it should be. This method works for me. |
