Ski tuning

I usually carry a coarse/fine stone, some p-tex, a lighter and an out of date credit card. I usually find that this fulfils my ongoing repair needs. And depending on snow conditions, I have the skis professionally serviced every 2 weeks ski-ing.

Its really not that expensive and you can be sure(in most cases) that your babies have been well looked after.

And was I in for a shock this year I shall be spending £4600 on two ski holidays nearly £3k of that is driving to LGb next January and £1.6k on Livigno in March, I'm seriously thinking about not driving in 2011, I'll possible save a grand !!!!!!!!

That does sound expensive Ian. Have you ever considered cheap flight options. Ryanair in particular do some really cheap flights to ski destinations. They seem to be quite customer orientated too. Worth a try.

It was the mention of wings which made me think it may be some mythical North American delicacy
Looks brilliant. I have always stayed in Hinterglemm, the next village up. You must go there and enjoy Apres ski at the Goatstall. Its ...... something else!!!!

Is a buffalo some kind of American Haggis?

On thread -

There is a big bar at the pond at the foot of the slopes in Breck. Think it is called Maggies. They have a bit of apres ski going on, but I have to say, like most North American resorts Apres ski is quite thin on the ground.

I have found that most North American resorts seem to cater more for their seasonal workers than their tourists. By that I mean Bands playing and fun starting around 11pm when most tourists have turned in and looking forward to an early start on the hill.

DIY worked the treat :)
Saalbach here we come :)

I hope early March will still have a good snow

Edit: I apologise for my poor grammar Brucie, but English isn't my first language. Btw, how is your Polish?

Apologies - May I complement you on your command of English. I would suggest it is better than 99% of people who count English as their first language.

You will love Saalbach/Hinterglemm. I have been there many times and the ski-ing and apres-ski are legendary!!!

na zdrowie!!!! :D
