It sounds as though you were unlucky if you had a problem in resort. We buy our Evasion Pass in St. Gervais & have always found it to be very straight forward. If you buy in advance, it doesn't give you the flexibility you might need if the snow conditions aren't favourable in the Evasion area.
We go to buy ours when it's quiet at the ticket office & I always check that the information on our passes is correct before we leave the window. Don't forget that you can re-use last years hands free pass & save a few euros on buying a new one. Good luck - & here's hoping for lots of snow - we're out there for Christmas & new year! |

I stayed in St. Sorlin D'Arves for a week with my girl friends & loved the skiing in that area. A couple of us skied to La Toussuire for lunch one day & had the most delicious pizza I've ever had. My friend & I still talk about it!

The British Alpine Ski School are excellent. Our son had lessons for several seasons with them from the age of 5, which he really enjoyed. I'd certainly recommend them!

We only ever went in mid January & it was never full of anyone of any specific nationality! (I think most of the Brits tend to head for Chatel) |

It's not in France! Have you had a look at Les Gets? - It's a short transfer from Geneva, has dedicated ski areas for children, an ice skating rink, lots of activities for children & families & a free train to transport you around the village. |
