No worries; the transfer to your hotel in Lyon, after your flight's diverted, should be fine...

Snow Storm Incoming

Getting up to Alpe d'Huez might get interesting; still a week away and Sunday's looking stormy at the moment, but keep an eye on the forecast.

I'm confused - your forecast are contradicting

Gales!!

Light winds

Which is it? I'm assuming the former?

Yes!

My understanding is that it's a legal requirement to have the necessary equipment to drive in the conditions. Snow tyres (standard on hire cars in winter) and chains certainly.

Good luck!!

As you can imagine they come in all price ranges.

I would personally not buy off web, if you wear a Lid you need to make sure that they fit comfortably on the helmet and there's no annoying gaps. Also, depending on if you have a big or small face/head some look a little odd

I have a pair of Scott with interchangeable lenses depending on conditions.

I have an orange type lense for general wear, however I have heard that in flat light yellow or Even clear is a better option. I have enough things to play with when skiing (and drop off lifts) without worrying about changing lenses!!

Be interested to hear the opinions of others tho :)

So I hear. I'll be taking food & drink supplies. No doubt everyone will blame the TO, Everyone wants snow but none of the side effects! Heavy snow ant night and bluebird days :)
Woooo hoooo

Taking plenty of sarnies for the bus when we have to spend the night on it. This could be a good choice not to have hired a car this year :D

Even sitting on the sidelines you can read between the lines that all is not well with the trippers
