I may have mentioned before that we were lucky enough to benefit from free everything for our daughter at Easter in Samoens.
It looks like the offer may be running again as I found the following on the Neige et Roc website: Easter week from 27 march to 17 april 2010 Children under 12 years sharing a room with 2 adults are free in half board Weekd from 3 to 17 avril 2010: 1 adult 6 days skipass = 1 child ski pass free ( - 12 years). Promotion for renting and ski lessons, 1 paying adult = 1 child under 12 years free. There is also mention of the same promo on the ESF website. Sadly our kids are now too old but I thought someone might be interested. The website for the village - www.samoens.com isn't really very good and doesn't give the info, but if I remember lots of accommodations take part in the promotion so could be worth emailing the tourist office to see who's offering it. The snow has always been great there for us at Easter and it isn't too busy either. Food is great at Neige et Roc too. |

Because I DON'T earn too much money I'd look at Ryanair to see if the flights were affordable. If they were the cheapest I'd go with them. Simple. |

Tony,
Great summary. Glad you typed it, must've taken ages! I did watch it, I found it interesting and it's true no one is forced to fly with them. You've summed up how we felt about the programme. Some of the costs do appear a bit sneaky, but when it comes to paying there's nothing actually hidden. I'd fly with them, but I'd know what I was getting. Cheap, no frills. (Any hopefully my luggage at the right place/right time) I have in fact been with them skiing, for a short break. We had no issues whatsoever. Wouldn't fly any of the budget airlines for a weeks skiing. I'd drive or package tour. |

He will mean February half term 2010, which is a peak week and not actually very far away (in terms of booking a holiday anyway) |

Monday, 12th October, 20:30 on BBC One (except Scotland, Yorkshire)
Vivian White investigates the reasons why the ultimate 'no frills' airline has gained a reputation as the brand Britain loves to hate but can't stop using. Passengers, suppliers and insiders contribute, and chief executive Michael O'Leary doorsteps the programme makers in his own unique style. |

Just think...one of those kids could be one of us. Not me, we weren't in 'colours' :(
Is this more 80's? |

Ski plan are still going - www.skiplan.co.uk Check out this gear - http://skiplan.co.uk/aprica.asp- taken circa 1973 I think! I went with Skiplan to Aprica in 1979. We hired kit, it was all navy and we all had the same. Interesting to note that the Clubhotels they use are same as Rocketski |
