Once you have something instilled in a certain way, it can be particularly difficult to 'unlearn' it.
Edit: Instructors aren't paid enough for 'hard work' ;) |

Practise is good if you are doing it right, if you aren't practising the correct techniques it isn't much use because you will just ingrain bad habits.
It is hard work for an instructor to try and go backwards in someones skiing than it is to start with a blank canvas... |

Like everywhere I am sure it has cheaper places and expensive places to do everything. I am yet to visit anywhere in the world like this. It isn't even like Megeve is a ski town like a lot in France without any other options near by (ie, a captive market). Obviously I have not been to Megeve so can't really qualify it but ise has come out and said it and I value his opinion over some random on a review site.
In the past 3 years I have skied on 3 different continents at close to 20 different resorts and am yet to experience somewhere I can just brand 'expensive' or 'cheap'. You need to see a little more of the world and make your own minds up on things instead of believing everything you read on the internet  |

Carving turns at low speed needs good balance, if you are doing something fundamentally wrong you will definitely end up on your a*se.

The Inns isn't bad, dated now though. Not huge on the Keg, Saltlik on the other hand... |

No. Recent years haven't been too bad. Last year saw an excellent February and in 2008, despite spending the season in the Rockies with trips to snowier climates, 2 of my best days were in Scotland. Check out the 'Scotland' thread, I try to keep it updated (struggling to get out this month due to other commitments) but you will see that conditions can be epic. |
