Without wishing to appear too smug. I'd just like to say I'm going there on April 15!
Cervinia to Champoluc/Gressoney bus

Thank you. I'm a patient man but not sure my patience would permit waiting for the lift you mention!!!

And three hours on the bus is a big chunk out of the day. So, it will just have to be another day in Zermatt - oh, the hardship!!
Cervinia to Champoluc/Gressoney bus

In Cervinia for the first time since 1982 next week. As always, quite fancy an away day but don't really want to go to Pila with the tour operator.

However, I noticed there's a daily return bus from Cervinia to Champoluc/Gressoney (which has always been on my radar for a holiday). Has anyone done this and is it worth doing?

Many thanks.

Ah, what a shame. Diavolezza looked spectacular and the railway link to it is meant to be really something. Can't do much about the weather, though!

Definitely on my list (although I'm certain the evening entertainment in Club Med would drive me mad!). Only been to St Moritz for skeleton so must ski there soon.

Tony, did you not get up to Diavolezza? I saw that area featured on the Swiss Railway Journeys programme once upon a time and have always wanted to ski there as a result.

The blurb on the Rossi Unique 8 from 2014 reads:

The Rossignol Unique 8 is a ski for women looking for a lightweight ride that will be very stable at medium to fast speeds on the groomers. Once you ski on the Unique 8 you will find it remarkable as to how solid and stable it skis, especially due to how light it is. Rossignol's Air Core reduces the overall weight of the ski by 20% by using a Paulownia Wood Core. A lighter ski will keep you out on the slopes longer, and skiing better without sacrificing any performance. Power Turn Rocker has a slight rockered shape in the tip of the ski to help you initiate turns quicker than ever before. Traditional Camber on the rest of the ski will give you a solid grip on the snow, even on ice. The Unique 8's Oversized Side Cut has wider tip and tail dimensions to help you dive into turns very quickly. The VAS Linen Dampening System uses more eco-friendly materials than traditional ski materials, but also removes chatter as you blast down the mountain. If you are looking for a ski that is very quick edge to edge, stable at high speed, and will not cause you to over exert yourself the Rossignol Unique 8 will be the perfect ski for you.

Reviews are generally positive.
Colorado Family Trip April 2018

Lift passes, especially for short duration trips, are expensive. When we went to Heavenly in January 2016, for seven days' skiing, the cheapest option was to buy one season long pass and use the discounted day tickets that came with it. Two seven day tickets or day tickets were ludicrously expensive.
