Train transfer Salzburg to Saalbach
Started by User in Austria, 4 Replies
As the previous poster says, bus to Salzburg HB railway station. Then train to Zell am See, then bus 680 to Saalbach or taxi. (Saalbach doesn't have a railway station). OBB says Saturdays are a "heavy travel day" (I think they mean busy!) and seat reservations are recommended!
All lifts and pistes closed again today.
Cervinia sent out a message via social media saying Civil Protection officials advised people to stay indoors!

Hello Tone

Nice to see you back and reporting again. Always appreciated your trip reports and trust I was able to reciprocate with my write-ups. Shame about Solden but the Rettenbach free-for-all race down at the end of the day and the busy main road prevents me from returning. Will look forward to your views on the Club Med experience in St Moritz - only been there for skeleton and would love to return to ski sometime soon.

Not a great deal, to be perfectly honest. First is not luxurious or especially comfortable; second is not a lot different although luggage space is pretty limited.
Chambery airport. Your experiences?

I found it a dismal experience, having been dropped off by the tour operator seven hours before scheduled take-off. Few facilities and bars/restaurants closing for no apparent reason. That was before the much-heralded improvements but never been tempted to go through there again.

Many times from Innsbruck railway station to many destinations. The wesbite http://www.oebb.at/en/ is your friend and, although a little confusing at first, is a very useful tool.

I've always booked two singles - not certain whether returns are available - and the site comes up with the best price for your trip.
Hit you up? Why, what have you done? -)
