Thanks, going with the Wife and 6 mates so we'll have a group hug and decide if we want to add on the extra area - for 10 Euro's it probably a no brainer. Cheers N |

Hi.
I'm off to Obergurgl 9th-14th March and am looking to pre-book my Lift Pass (purely to spread out the cost of the holiday over a few pay-cheques!). I see that I can do this via skiholidaytextras.com and print a voucher for presentation and the lift pass office to collect my pass. I've not heard of this site before so: 1. Anyone used them? 2. Does anyone have another recomended site where I can pre-purchase my lift pass? Thanks N |

For future reference if I have All terrain Tyres on my Land Rover (Pirelli Scorpion STV) do they cover off 'snow tyres' or do I need specific snow tyres to avoid a potential fine? Not planning a trip this year (well we're flying to Innsbruck for Obergurgly in March) but just wondered.....

This was the big one for me last year (fairly newbie to this lark) - being uncomfortable with heighhts and death I was always inclined to lean back which clearly made life difficult. Last years revelation was brilliant - turns out that I can ski and it's easy (erm......to a point!) |

Fair point Tony_H however if burgess-87 just wanted to get a driving job rather than start a independantly as such that's different. A couple of my mates worked a season doing transfers for an established company driving mini-buses in Meribel, I stayed in the Chalet with them all for 10 days, French company but they employed upwards pof 20 UK drivers (all young guys n gals).
erm....no I can't remember the name of it as it was some time ago. Cheers N |

I agree!! I have the Bolle Modulators with the cut outs each side so I can wear my glasses.....I normally wear contacts (I have the cut-outs just in case I want to wear the specs) and don't notice any adverse effects from the cut out at all. I've only used them for one season but the Modulator lenses seemed great in most lights that I encountered! :D |

Hi - it's a couple of years since I was there but from memory there a few places up in Aime La Plagne, you also have Belle Plagne down the hill via the bubble and Plagne Centre is a short bus trip from Belle plagne.....it's short enough for a taxi as I don't think the buses go all night. We generally skied back into Plagne Centre for some Apres Ski and then got the bus or a taxi back round and then the bubble up to Aime la Plagne - suited us to stay put then as we were half board.
