So a while back I posted about working in a ski resort and I did find some lovely people with some helpful information on here..
Although now I wish to announce.. I have been heard back from 4 companies from only sending out 20 CV's. One of them was for a Driver & Ski guide position - They told me they were full but thanks for the interest. The second one was for a General Assistant in a ski resort - They offered me an interview but I turned it down, I was only wondering if i'd get a reply to see if my CV was good enough! The third one I applied to was Directski for a Ski representative positon - They offered me an interview on the 8th of July in London. I have accepted this and I am making my way down for the interview. And today I recieved a reply from Crystal - They too have offered me an interview and they are very flexible with their dates having interviews run right through July, so I will be accepting one of these dates and making my way there. Either Surrey, Manchester or Newcastle. Just an update for you guys! Currently as it stands I have two secure interviews! So excited.. :D |

Whoa.. That's simply ridiculous..
The Xscape (SnoZone) let you demo as many skis as you wish for free.. And they even offer the newest skis coming out - I've done that before.. You simply go into the Ellis Brigham where you choose your skis, tell the assistant, he'll take them to the slope and leave them aside for you to freely switch at your own pace.. No cost, no ID.. Nothing.. |

Alright, so i've been looking around for a helmet cam for a while now and have stumbled across some rather nice, shiny HD helmet cams.
One in particular, the GoPro Hero HD Helmet Camera Does anyone on this forum own this camera? Can they give any opinions/reviews of it? It's costing £300 - But to be honest, i'd pay such money for the quality this camera records; (I would embed the video, but you can't view in HD that way) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEyrEiC4Ucw I'm literally stunned by this quality and find myself aiming for this as my next buy! Not only can you use it as a helmet cam, you can mount it using different types and styles of mounts for bikes, cars and even just every day camera use. So, anybody any thoughts? :) |

It's true £45 being a lot if not needing equipment - but usually I don't have the car to use as I share it with my sister and she works a lot Still, it's a good deal if you've no way of getting up and the like :) |

Hey guys, for those of you who live within a reasonable distance to the Braehead Xscape, SnoZone there are organising a ski trip to the Cairngorms (16th of April) - This Friday coming.

Yeah i'm keeping an eye out on the conditions over the next coming weeks - last year i'm sure it was reported that the best skiing weather Scotland had ever seen was in May - so there's still hope!

Yeah.. I got up at 0830, looked outside and it was chucking it down.. So just went back to bed, got up not long ago and checked the webcams for Glencoe/shee - Horrible! :)
I feel better now.. I'll be off to the gym today instead ;) |
