Icy, having driven in France for nearly 30 years, I have had the occasional run in with Les Gendarmes :cry:

Trust me when I say, much better to spend the fiver and be sent on your way, than suffer the joy of the Gendarme when he discovers an Englishman who has infringed the rules :shock: If all you get away with is the 11€ fine and probably an hour of your time, then you would have been extremely lucky.

All it wants is a tickle behind the ear, and maybe that nice fresh salmon you were saving for Good Friday dinner :twisted:
